Client Testimony

I, Tuya, a Ballet Dancer and Choreographer from Mongolia, am writing this letter to testify my immigration experience in the United States. My family and I just received our green cards from USCIS.  As recipients of these cards, we are so pleased to leave the extensive years of immigration problems behind.  I would like to acknowledge my employer who helped sponsor my green card acquisition.  I also wanted to express my appreciation to Ms. Jing Tan, the Immigration Attorney who helped my family and I received our green cards within this year. This was amazing since other attorneys had previously extended this process for my family and me as long as eleven years, with no results, progress, and the possibility of eliminating our legal status.

Ms. Jing Tan was recommended by one of my friends in November, of 2007. At that time, my H-1B status was almost expired, and the H-1B extension petition was denied because my employment based greed card petition, (I-140 petition) sponsored by my previous employer had been denied.  My previous attorney told me he could do nothing anymore to maintain my non-immigrant status.  I was so frustrated because I would potentially loose my status and could have not continued my dream of living in the United States!  Fortunately my friend referred me to consult Ms. Jing Tan, an immigration attorney in Rockville, Maryland.  Ms. Tan was someone who had a positive outlook on my personal situation.  She was so eager to focus on assisting my problems, and she was able to empathize with my challenges.  Ms.
Tan efficiently reviewed my documents and immediately found many errors made by other attorneys and provided me with solutions.  She informed me that based upon my prominent qualifications and outstanding achievements in Ballet, she could help me file the O-1 petition to maintain my non-immigrant status, additionally, and Ms. Jing Tan filed the employment based green card petition for me.

The O-1 Status is a nonimmigrant status category for aliens of extraordinary ability in the arts, sciences, or other fields. This is an employment related status which allows qualified aliens to live and work in the United States. If the O-1 Status could be approved, the First Preference Immigration Petition (EB-1) should also be approved.  Previously, I was not very certain if the O-1 petition could be approved because another attorney previously helped me file the EB-1 prior, in 1999, but it was denied.  Ms. Tan drafted an impressive petition letter and prepared a very organized and professional O-1 petition package in just one week. To my surprise, my O-1 petition has been approved by USCIS!

With Ms. Tan¨s diligent work, my green card petition was processed very smoothly.  My PERM labor certificate petition was sent to the Department of Labor in May, of 2008 and approved in August, of 2008. The I-140 and I-485 petitions were sent in October, of 2008, and both I-140 and I-485 petitions were approved by USCIS in March, of 2009.  In summary, this entire process has taken less than one year!

To conclude, I am amazed with Ms. Tan¨s professional and diligent work! As I mentioned previously, I have been trying to obtain my  green card for more than ten years. However, with Ms. Tan¨s assistance, I have succeeded this goal within one year.  Without any doubt, I have never had an experience with a lawyer like this before.  I highly recommend Ms. Jing Tan, to all people coming to the United States who dream of the opportunity to live here under a legal status.
